1 Cut the cabbage into chunks of your preferred size and add them into the Varoma (bottom part)
2 Peel the potatoes, cut them into pieces and add them into the top part of the Varoma
3 Add the water and vegetable stock and place the Varoma on top of the Thermomix
4 20-25 min. / Varoma / Speed Stir
5 Check if the potatoes and cabbage are cooked to your taste and set aside
6 Pour half of the stock into a separate pot. Add the cheese to the remaining stock
7 Cook / 4 min. / 100°C / Speed 2
8 Check if the consistency as you want it. Otherwise add more of the stock which you set aside or add a few teaspoons of Cornflour. Cook for another 2 min. as in step 7
9 Pour the cheese sauce over the cabbage and mix it well.
10 Serve hot together with potatoes
Please note: While most recipes are designed for the TM5 and TM31, some might not fit the older Thermomix model. The TM31 has a lower Mixing Bowl capacity (2 litres) and a smaller Varoma (3 litres).
